Frank Morrison, General Manager/Director of Tennis

Frank Morrison

Born in New Jersey in 1968, Frank began playing the game of tennis at the age of nine. His family moved to Florida in 1982 where he played competitively as a Junior throughout the state of Florida. At age sixteen, Frank was hired as maintenance superintendent at the local country club, where he was immersed in the business and began to learn the nuances of club operations. Later he moved to St. Augustine where he was hired to oversee the renovation of a full service tennis club with ten clay courts. In his spare time, Frank continued to development his tennis skills and education, which included playing the pro circuit and becoming a USPTA Certified Tennis Professional in 1995. Shortly after receiving his tennis certifications, Frank was hired as Director of Tennis at the club he helped restore in St. Augustine. In 1998, Frank and his family (wife Leigh and then infant son Ean) moved to our mountain community where Frank had accepted the job of Director of Tennis for The Village of Sugar Mountain. In 2000, he left Sugar Mountain for the job as Director of Tennis at Grandfather Golf and Country Club where he remained until last year.In addition to his management skills Frank brings with his 20 plus years of teaching experience working with all ages and levels, and enjoys working with groups and clinics. Frank serves currently as President for the USPTA North Carolina chapter. Although the tennis industry is Frank’s career focus, he is also an accomplished photographer and enjoys fly fishing and skiing.
Frank is excited to be joining us at Yonahlossee as Club Manager/Director of Tennis and brings years of experience along with his engaging personality.
